An Initiative of:

EFBIC Red is an initiative of the European Commission aiming to establish collaborations between leading researchers in Europe and China. The programme is focused on life sciences, health and biotechnology research.

In co-operation with science, industry and public interest organisations, the programme will work to encourage, develop and facilitate collaborative strategies and activities in the fields of research, innovation, commercial development and training.

EFBIC Red is organising three networking events and two workshops on relevant topics from life sciences, health and biotechnology research between September 2007 and spring 2009.

In addition to this, a quarterly newsletter will provide the EFBIC Red community information on co-operations between Europe and China, such as latest news on scientific developments, collaboration projects, grants and forthcoming events in Europe and China.

EFBIC RED is very pleased to launch its final workshop of the project, with a focus on Diabetes, hosted at the Hagedorn Research Institute in Denmark.
This invitation only workshop is co-hosted by Novo Nordisk A/S and brings together the finest researchers in China and Europe over 2 days.
